“More Than Enough” is the theme for our 2022 giving campaign. “And all ate and were filled. What was left over was gathered up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.” (Luke 9:17) Not only were the meager 5 loaves and 2 fishes sufficient to feed 5,000 hungry people, but there were leftovers! As Christians, we must push back against the culture of scarcity, our faith must unlock a sprit plenty. Our stewardship of our personal and collective resources reminds us of the abundance around us, enough people to do the work, enough money to pay the bills, enough creativity and wisdom to move the missions and projects forward. There will be more than enough because our faith will unlock the generosity of others.
In light of our belief in the sufficient and bountiful provision of our Lord, to share that abundance with our neighbors by providing a sustainable parish ministry in Steuben county, we are setting a goal this fall of $130,000 in pledges and increasing our pledging households to 35.
